What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Crawlspace Medic's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, the estimated initial investment does not include the cost of labor for the initial training program. While Crawlspace Medic does not charge tuition for training up to three people, franchisees are responsible for all costs associated with attending the initial training program for themselves and their staff. These costs depend on the number of people attending, their origin, travel method, accommodation class, and living expenses such as food and transportation.

The FDD provides an estimated range of $5,000 to $10,000 for pre-opening travel and training expenses. This figure covers expenses like airline tickets, hotel stays, and meals for the franchisee and their staff during the training period. The training program lasts approximately four weeks for the franchisee or operating principal and about two weeks for field technicians.

Prospective franchisees should carefully consider these costs when budgeting for their initial investment. It's important to factor in the potential expenses for all staff members who will attend the training, as well as any additional costs that may arise due to specific travel arrangements or accommodation preferences. Contacting current Crawlspace Medic franchisees may provide additional insight into the actual costs incurred during the initial training period.
