According to Crawlspace Medic's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Manual, written directives, and other materials provided by the franchisor remain the sole property of Crawlspace Medic. Franchisees and their principals must recognize these items as confidential and proprietary information.
This means a Crawlspace Medic franchisee must maintain the Manual and all confidential materials in a safe and secure location to prevent unauthorized access. This includes physical security measures and up-to-date technology like firewalls and encryption for computer and telecommunications networks. Franchisees are also obligated to report any theft or loss of the Manual or its contents to Crawlspace Medic immediately.
Upon request, or upon transfer, termination, or expiration of the Franchise Agreement, franchisees must delete all electronic copies and return any physical copies of the Manual and other confidential materials to Crawlspace Medic. Furthermore, Crawlspace Medic retains the right to revise the contents of the Manual and other materials, and franchisees must comply with any new or changed policies, standards, or directives. In case of a dispute, the master copy of the Manual maintained by Crawlspace Medic will be the definitive version.
