What This Means (2024 FDD)

Based on the 2024 Crawlspace Medic Franchise Disclosure Document, the document does not specify what a franchisee must do with the original location's signage if they relocate their business. However, the FDD does state that prior to opening, the franchisee must complete all modifications for the Franchised Business location and vehicle, including installation of equipment and signage, in accordance with System requirements and the plans and specifications consented to by Franchisor.

Typically, franchise agreements address signage because it is a key element of brand consistency and visibility. Signage helps customers identify the business and reinforces brand recognition. The Crawlspace Medic franchise agreement outlines the franchisee's responsibilities for equipping and outfitting their Crawlspace Medic location and vehicle as outlined in the Operations Manual.

Since the FDD does not explicitly state what to do with signage upon relocation, it is important for a prospective franchisee to discuss this scenario with the franchisor. Understanding the franchisor's expectations regarding signage removal, storage, or disposal during a relocation is crucial. This discussion can clarify any potential costs or obligations associated with the signage at the original location.

Inquiring about signage during relocation is a practical step for any potential Crawlspace Medic franchisee to ensure they fully understand their responsibilities and avoid any misunderstandings or unexpected expenses.
