What This Means (2024 FDD)

Yes, according to the 2024 Crawlspace Medic Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchise agreement does include a section on training. Specifically, Item 10.8 states that the franchisor will provide "[t]he training programs specified in Article 7 herein." This indicates that training is a defined obligation of Crawlspace Medic within the franchise agreement.

Furthermore, Item 10.9 mentions "[o]n-site post-opening assistance at the Franchised Business location in accordance with the provisions of Article 7." This suggests that Article 7 not only covers initial training programs but also addresses ongoing support and assistance provided at the franchisee's location after the business has opened. This on-site assistance likely serves as a continuation of the initial training, helping franchisees implement the Crawlspace Medic system effectively.

Additionally, in the context of transferring development rights, section 6.3.3 states that "[t]he transferee has agreed to complete Franchisor's Initial Franchise Training Program to Franchisor's satisfaction." This clause highlights the importance Crawlspace Medic places on ensuring that anyone operating a franchise, even a transferee, is adequately trained in the Crawlspace Medic system. This requirement helps maintain consistency and quality across all franchise locations.

For developers of multiple Crawlspace Medic outlets, the agreement specifies that the developer will not receive any initial training related to each additional Crawlspace Medic outlet, other than the initial Franchise Agreement. The developer acknowledges that the initial training is sufficient to operate each of their Crawlspace Medic outlets. This indicates that while initial training is provided, subsequent training for additional locations under a development agreement is not included, placing greater responsibility on the developer's initial knowledge and experience.
