ranchise Agreement, Section 8.2)
2. Time to Open
We estimate the typical length of time between the signing of the Franchise Agreement and the time you open your Crawlspace Medic franchised business is 45 to 60 days. Factors that may affect this time period include your ability to acquire financing or permits; warehouse and office build build-out; vehicle modifications, and completion of required training. If you have not opened your Franchised Business within three months after you
sign the Franchise Agreement, you must obtain our consent to extend the time to open, which we may or may not grant, at our discretion. Failure to open your Franchised Business within the original time as extended, is a default of the Franchise Agreement.

What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Crawlspace Medic's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, the estimated time to open a franchise is typically 45 to 60 days from the signing of the Franchise Agreement. However, several factors can influence this timeframe. These include the franchisee's ability to secure financing and necessary permits, the time required for warehouse and office build-out, modifications to vehicles, and the completion of required training.
It's important to note that if a Crawlspace Medic franchisee fails to open their business within three months after signing the Franchise Agreement, they must obtain the franchisor's consent to extend the opening date. This extension is not guaranteed and is at the franchisor's discretion. Failure to open within the initially agreed-upon or extended timeframe constitutes a default of the Franchise Agreement, which could lead to penalties or termination of the agreement.
Prospective Crawlspace Medic franchisees should carefully consider these factors and their potential impact on the opening timeline. Delays in any of these areas could push back the opening date and, if not managed properly, could result in a breach of contract. Therefore, it's crucial to have a solid plan for securing financing, obtaining permits, completing build-out and vehicle modifications, and finishing training within the expected timeframe to ensure a smooth and timely launch of the franchise.
