Does Crawlspace Medic have a duty to exercise the powers conferred on it under the agreement?

Based on the 2024 Crawlspace Medic Franchise Disclosure Document, Crawlspace Medic does not have a duty to remain in the crawlspace or basement care business if it assigns its rights in the agreement. The franchisor can choose to not offer or sell any products or services to the franchisee if they assign their rights.

Crawlspace Medic also retains significant rights, including the ability to offer other products or services, develop other crawlspace or basement care concepts, and utilize alternate distribution channels like the internet. Franchisees will not receive compensation for sales made through these alternate channels within their territory. Crawlspace Medic can also acquire, be acquired by, or merge with another company.
