What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Crawlspace Medic's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, the pre-opening training program lasts approximately four weeks for the franchisee or operating principal(s). This training takes place at Crawlspace Medic's headquarters in Columbia, South Carolina, or at another location designated by the company.
In addition to the initial four weeks, field technicians receive two weeks of training at the headquarters. Following the headquarters training, there is an additional one week of on-site training at the franchisee's location within 30 days of opening. Crawlspace Medic provides this initial training for the franchisee and up to two additional people as part of the initial franchise fee.
The training program is based on the Crawlspace Medic Operations Manual and includes hands-on training in both classroom and field settings. The FDD specifies that failure to complete the pre-opening training program to Crawlspace Medic's satisfaction may result in termination of the Franchise Agreement, highlighting the importance of thorough preparation. The franchisor also offers additional training programs, both mandatory and optional, including an annual conference or national business meeting, which franchisees may be required to attend.
