What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Crawlspace Medic's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, a developer must immediately notify the Franchisor if they discover that any Confidential Information has been divulged in violation of the agreement. This obligation is in place to protect Crawlspace Medic's trade secrets and proprietary information. Confidential Information includes methods, processes, customer lists, vendor partnerships, sales and technical data, financial information, costs, product prices, software, website design, products, services, equipment, technologies, procedures, the operations manual, advertising methods, and components of the Crawlspace Medic system.
This requirement ensures that any potential breaches of confidentiality are addressed promptly. By mandating immediate notification, Crawlspace Medic aims to minimize the damage that could result from the unauthorized disclosure of sensitive information. The developer is responsible for taking necessary steps to protect this information at their own expense.
For a prospective Crawlspace Medic franchisee, this means understanding the importance of safeguarding Confidential Information and establishing procedures to prevent unauthorized disclosure. It also means being vigilant in monitoring for any potential breaches and being prepared to act quickly to inform the Franchisor if a breach is detected. Failure to comply with these confidentiality obligations could result in termination of the franchise agreement.
