What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Crawlspace Medic's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, the initial training program for the operating principal is approximately four weeks long. The FDD also states that the training program for field technicians is approximately two weeks. This training is held at Crawlspace Medic's corporate office in Columbia, South Carolina.
While Crawlspace Medic does not charge tuition for training up to three people, the franchisee is responsible for covering all costs associated with attending the initial training program for themselves and their staff. These costs include travel, accommodation, food, and transportation. The FDD estimates that pre-opening travel and training expenses will range from $5,000 to $10,000, depending on the number of attendees, their point of origin, method of travel, and class of accommodation.
Prospective Crawlspace Medic franchisees should factor in these costs when planning their initial investment. It is important to note that the actual expenses may vary depending on individual circumstances. Franchisees should also consider the time commitment required for the training program, as it will take the operating principal away from other business activities for approximately four weeks.
