According to the 2024 Crawl Space Ninja Franchise Disclosure Document, there are specific actions or failures that constitute a default of the Franchise Agreement. One such instance is failing to open the franchised business within a specified timeframe. If a franchisee does not open their Crawl Space Ninja business within 90 days after signing the Franchise Agreement, or within 60 days after completing the Initial Management Training Program, they must obtain consent to extend the time to open. The franchisor may or may not grant this extension at their discretion. Failure to open within the original timeframe, or any approved extension, is considered a default of the Franchise Agreement.

Another cause for default is failing to attend mandatory additional training or the annual business meeting or conference. Crawl Space Ninja may, at its discretion, require franchisees to attend additional training programs for up to five days each year, as well as an annual business meeting or franchisee conference for up to three days each year. The current fee for the annual conference is $500 per person, but this fee is subject to change. Franchisees are also responsible for covering their own transportation, lodging, meals, and other expenses associated with attending these mandatory events. If a franchisee fails to attend any mandatory training program, they are required to obtain the training at a designated location at their own cost, including tuition, travel, and the trainer's travel expenses.

If a franchisee does not complete the Pre-Opening Training Program to Crawl Space Ninja's satisfaction, Crawl Space Ninja reserves the right to terminate the Franchise Agreement. These stipulations are important for prospective franchisees to consider, as they highlight the importance of adhering to the franchisor's timelines and training requirements to maintain good standing and avoid potential default or termination of the franchise agreement.
