What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Crawl Space Ninja's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, attendance at additional training programs can be mandatory. Crawl Space Ninja may conduct both mandatory and optional additional training programs, including an annual conference or national business meeting. If required by Crawl Space Ninja, franchisees must attend mandatory training programs, for up to five days each year, and an annual conference or national business meeting for a minimum of two days each year, at a location designated by Crawl Space Ninja. Failure to attend these mandatory events constitutes a default under the Franchise Agreement. The current fee for the annual conference is $500, but Crawl Space Ninja reserves the right to modify these fees. Franchisees are also responsible for covering their own transportation, lodging, meals, and other expenses associated with attending any mandatory training program.

If a Crawl Space Ninja franchisee fails to attend a mandatory training program, they are required to obtain the training at a location designated by Crawl Space Ninja. The franchisee will bear the full cost, including tuition at the then-current rate, plus all of their travel costs and Crawl Space Ninja's trainer's travel costs. This policy underscores the importance Crawl Space Ninja places on ongoing training and adherence to their standards.

Crawl Space Ninja also offers remedial on-site training and assistance at the franchisee's premises, subject to the availability of their trainers. However, for any on-site remedial training, the franchisee must reimburse all costs for the services of Crawl Space Ninja's trainer, including the trainer's per diem fee and all travel-related expenses, such as transportation, meals, and lodging. This ensures that franchisees have access to additional support when needed, but at their own expense.
