ss, (ii) this Agreement, (iii) any direct or indirect ownership interest in the Business, or (iv) control of the Business.
ARTICLE 2. GRANT OF LICENSE
- 2.1 Grant. Crave Cookies Franchising grants to Franchisee the right to operate a Crave Cookies business solely at the Location. If no Location is stated on the Summary Page when this Agreement is signed, then the parties will determine the Location in accordance with Section 6.1. Franchisee shall develop, open and operate a Crave Cookies business at the Location for the entire term of this Agreement.
- 2.2 Protected Territory. Crave Cookies Franchising shall not establish, nor license the establishment of, another business within the Territory (other than in a Limited Access Venue) selling the same or similar menu items, beverages, goods or services under the same or similar trademarks or service marks as a Crave Cookies business. Crave Cookies Franchising retains the right to:
- (i) establish and license others to establish and operate Crave Cookies businesses outside the Territory, notwithstanding their proximity to the Territory or their impact on the Business;

According to Crave Cookies' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the location of the Crave Cookies business will be determined after the franchise agreement is signed if no location is specified on the Summary Page of the agreement. In this case, the franchisee is responsible for finding a potential location within the Development Area outlined on the Summary Page and submitting it to Crave Cookies for approval, along with any related information the franchisor requests.
Crave Cookies has 30 days to either accept or reject the proposed location in writing. If Crave Cookies does not respond within 30 days, the location is considered rejected. If Crave Cookies accepts the location, they will issue a Location Acceptance Letter, which includes the location and territory details.
This process puts the onus on the franchisee to identify a suitable location that meets Crave Cookies' criteria. While Crave Cookies provides its location criteria and will review potential sites, the final decision rests with the franchisor. Prospective franchisees should carefully consider the Development Area and location criteria before signing the franchise agreement to ensure they can find an acceptable site.
