What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Crave Cookies's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, if a franchisee is approved to open multiple locations, the first location must be in the Development Area indicated on the Summary Page of the Franchise Agreement. Subsequent locations may be opened in any order as long as each Opening Deadline is met in order.
This means that while Crave Cookies provides some flexibility in the order of opening subsequent locations, franchisees must still adhere to the agreed-upon development schedule. Failing to meet these deadlines can result in the termination of the Multi-Unit Development Agreement (MUDA).
It is important to note that the franchisee does not have exclusive rights to develop, open, or operate Crave Cookies businesses in the Development Area. This implies that Crave Cookies could potentially grant franchises to others within the same area, which could impact the franchisee's market share and revenue potential. Therefore, prospective franchisees should carefully consider the development schedule and the competitive landscape within their designated area.
