What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Crave Cookies Franchise Disclosure Document, several sections within the Franchise Agreement address training obligations. Section 5.3 mentions a training manual, while Section 5.4 details the initial training program. Furthermore, Crave Cookies Franchising may require franchisees to provide training programs to their employees, with the franchisee bearing the costs for travel and living expenses if the training occurs at a location requiring travel.
Section 7.11(a) stipulates that the Crave Cookies business must be supervised by the Principal Executive or a local general manager who has completed Crave Cookies' training program. Additionally, if a franchisee sends an employee to Crave Cookies' training program after opening their franchise, Crave Cookies may charge a training fee; as of the agreement date, this fee is $250 per person per day.
If the franchisee plans to transfer the franchise to a new owner, Section 15.2(vii) states that the proposed assignee, along with their owners and employees, must undergo training as required by Crave Cookies. Moreover, Attachment 4 outlines compliance, violations, and fees, indicating that Crave Cookies Franchising, LLC will offer resources and support, such as training sessions, to help the franchisee address any issues related to compliance. These multiple sections collectively define the scope and requirements of both initial and ongoing training within the Crave Cookies franchise system.
