What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Crave Cookies's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Crave Cookies has the right to terminate the franchise agreement if a franchisee violates the agreement. Specifically, any breach of the franchise agreement gives Crave Cookies the right to terminate it.

Additionally, if a franchisee fails to meet the development schedule outlined in their franchise agreement or Multi-Unit Development Agreement (MUDA), those agreements are automatically terminated. However, Crave Cookies retains the right to grant an extension. For franchisees with a MUDA covering multiple locations, missing a development deadline for one location will invalidate the entire MUDA.

Crave Cookies also lists other conditions that could lead to termination, including libel of Crave Cookies, refusal to cooperate with business inspections, ceasing operations for more than 5 consecutive days, three defaults in 12 months, cross-termination, a felony charge or conviction, or scoring below 90/A on government health inspections more than twice in 36 months, or scoring below a passing grade on brand inspections more than twice in 36 months. Some breaches, by their nature, cannot be cured, which also gives Crave Cookies the right to terminate the agreement.
