What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Crave Cookies Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are generally restricted to making sales only at their approved location. Unless Crave Cookies approves or requires otherwise, franchisees cannot make sales through other means such as wholesale, delivery, mail order, over the internet, or at temporary locations. This means a franchisee's primary access to customers is limited to those who visit the physical store location.
However, Crave Cookies retains the right to sell and license others to sell products and services in the franchisee's territory through other channels of distribution, including the internet, which could potentially compete with the franchisee's business. This indicates that while franchisees are restricted in their sales methods, Crave Cookies can explore alternative sales channels within the same territory.
These restrictions and rights have important implications for a prospective Crave Cookies franchisee. The franchisee needs to be prepared to focus on in-store sales and customer service, while also understanding that Crave Cookies can utilize other sales channels that may impact their business. It is important to consider the potential effects of these alternative channels on the franchisee's revenue and market share.
