Crave_Cookies Franchise · 2025 FDDAnswer from 2025 FDD Document
We issue specifications and standards to you for applicable aspects of the franchise in our Manual and/or in written directives. We may issue new specifications and standards for any aspect of our brand system, or modify existing specifications and standards, at any time by revising our Manual and/or issuing new written directives (which may be communicated to you by any method we choose). We will generally (but are not obligated to) issue new or revised specifications only after thorough testing in our headquarters, in company-owned outlets, and/or a limited market test in multiple units.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Crave Cookies' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Crave Cookies does not guarantee that new or revised specifications will be issued only after thorough testing. While Crave Cookies generally tests new specifications, they are not obligated to do so.
Specifically, Crave Cookies may issue new specifications and standards for any aspect of their brand system or modify existing ones at any time. These changes can be implemented by revising their manual or issuing new written directives, which can be communicated through any method they choose.
The FDD states that Crave Cookies will generally issue new or revised specifications after testing at their headquarters, in company-owned outlets, and/or through limited market tests in multiple units. However, the use of "generally (but are not obligated to)" indicates that Crave Cookies retains the discretion to implement changes without prior testing. This flexibility allows Crave Cookies to respond quickly to market changes or operational needs, but it also means franchisees may have to adapt to new requirements without the benefit of prior testing and validation.
For a prospective franchisee, this means that changes to products, services, or operational procedures could occur with little notice or opportunity for input. It would be prudent to inquire about the typical frequency and scope of specification changes and to understand the process Crave Cookies uses to evaluate the impact of changes on franchisees.
