What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Crave Cookies's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Crave Cookies Franchising has the right to enter the premises of the business during normal business hours to conduct inspections. As part of these inspections, Crave Cookies Franchising is explicitly permitted to videotape and/or take photographs of the inspection and the business. Franchisees are required to cooperate with Crave Cookies Franchising's inspectors during these visits.
This clause in the franchise agreement allows Crave Cookies Franchising to document the condition and operation of the franchise location. This documentation can be used for quality control, training purposes, or to ensure compliance with the brand's standards. The franchisee's cooperation is mandatory, and failure to comply with inspection procedures or meet minimum score requirements can result in a default under the franchise agreement.
For a prospective Crave Cookies franchisee, this means they should expect regular inspections that may include video and photographic recordings. It is crucial to maintain consistent standards and address any deficiencies noted during inspections promptly. Failing to do so could lead to further inspections, potential fees, and, ultimately, a default on the franchise agreement. Franchisees should ensure their operations align with Crave Cookies's standards to avoid negative consequences from these inspections.
