What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Crave Cookies' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Crave Cookies Franchising may require the Principal Executive and/or other employees to complete post-opening training programs. These programs can be in any format and location determined by Crave Cookies Franchising. Importantly, Crave Cookies Franchising is allowed to charge a reasonable fee for these training programs.

This means that as a Crave Cookies franchisee, you and your employees might need to undergo additional training after your business opens. This could be for various reasons, such as updates to the system, new product introductions, or to improve operational efficiency. The FDD states that Crave Cookies Franchising has the discretion to decide the format and location of these training programs, which could range from online courses to in-person sessions at their headquarters or another designated location.

It's crucial to note that while Crave Cookies Franchising can charge a fee for the training itself, franchisees are also responsible for covering all travel, living, and other expenses if the training program requires travel. This could add a significant cost to the training, so it's important to factor this into your budget. Additionally, Crave Cookies Franchising may require the franchisee to provide training programs to its employees.

As a prospective franchisee, it would be wise to inquire about the typical frequency, format, and estimated costs of post-opening training programs. Understanding these potential expenses will help you better prepare your financial projections and manage your business effectively. It is also important to understand what the requirements are for franchisee-led training programs.
