What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Crave Cookies's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are not currently required to attend additional training programs or refresher courses. However, Crave Cookies retains the right to mandate such programs in the future.
If a franchisee needs to send a new general manager to the initial training program, Crave Cookies charges a fee of $250 per person, per day. The initial training program is comprehensive, and franchisees must complete it to Crave Cookies's satisfaction at least four weeks before opening their business. A test is administered to evaluate understanding of the content, and failure to pass the test or complete the initial training can result in termination of the franchise agreement without a refund of the initial franchise fee.
This policy provides Crave Cookies with the flexibility to adapt its training requirements as needed, which could be beneficial in maintaining brand standards and operational consistency. However, it also introduces a degree of uncertainty for franchisees, as they may be required to invest additional time and money in training programs that were not initially anticipated. Prospective franchisees should inquire about the conditions under which additional training might be required and how much advance notice would be given.
