Under what condition will Crave provide on-site evaluation of the proposed site for a Crave Restaurant?
Crave Franchise · 2025 FDDAnswer from 2025 FDD Document
Before you lease or purchase the site for the Restaurant, you must locate a site that satisfies our site selection guidelines. If we deem it necessary, we will conduct one on-site evaluation, but before we conduct the evaluation you must submit to us in the form we specify a description of the site, including evidence that the site satisfies our site selection guidelines, together with other information and materials that we may reasonably require, including a letter of intent or other evidence that confirms your favorable prospects for obtaining the site. We have the right to approve deviations from our site selection standards based on the individual factors and components of a particular site.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Crave's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Crave will conduct an on-site evaluation of a proposed restaurant location if they deem it necessary. However, before Crave conducts the evaluation, the franchisee must first submit a description of the site. This description must be in a format specified by Crave and include evidence that the site meets Crave's site selection guidelines. The franchisee must also provide any other information and materials that Crave may reasonably require, such as a letter of intent or other confirmation of favorable prospects for obtaining the site.
This means that a prospective Crave franchisee cannot simply request an on-site evaluation without first doing some legwork. They need to identify a potential location, gather information about it, and present that information to Crave in a compelling way that suggests the site meets Crave's criteria. This process protects Crave by ensuring they only spend time and resources evaluating sites that have a reasonable chance of success.
Crave also retains the right to approve deviations from their site selection standards based on the individual factors and components of a particular site. This provides Crave with flexibility in assessing potential locations and allows them to consider unique opportunities that may not perfectly align with their standard criteria. However, the franchisee should still aim to meet the standard criteria as closely as possible to increase the likelihood of approval.
