What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Crave's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee may request approval to relocate their food truck operations under specific circumstances. If the franchisee is unable to continue operating the food truck in their designated territory due to a force majeure event, they can request approval from Crave to relocate to another designated territory. This approval will not be unreasonably withheld by Crave.
Any other relocation, redefinition, or change of the designated territory not caused by a force majeure event also requires Crave's prior approval. If Crave grants the right to relocate, the franchisee must comply with the site selection procedures outlined in Section 2.2 of the franchise agreement.
When submitting a relocation request, the franchisee must pay a non-refundable relocation fee of $5,000 to Crave. This fee covers the cost for Crave to review and process the relocation request. It is important for prospective franchisees to understand the conditions under which relocation is permitted and the associated costs, as these factors can significantly impact the operation and profitability of their Crave food truck franchise.
