What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Crave's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Crave retains the right to grant variances from the standard menu to specific Crave businesses. This flexibility allows Crave to accommodate regional or local preferences and ingredients. However, the franchise agreement does not obligate Crave to extend the same menu variances to all franchisees.

This provision means that while Crave franchisees are generally required to adhere to the standard menu and preparation procedures outlined in the operations manual, Crave can make exceptions for certain locations. These exceptions could be based on local tastes, the availability of specific ingredients, or other regional factors.

For a prospective franchisee, this clause highlights the importance of understanding that the standard menu may not be universally applied across all Crave locations. While some franchisees might benefit from menu adjustments tailored to their local market, others may not receive the same consideration. It is crucial for potential franchisees to inquire about the criteria and process for requesting menu variances and to assess how this policy might impact their business operations and profitability.
