We may choose to hold refresher training courses, and we may designate that attendance at refresher training is mandatory for you, your general manager, and/or other Franchised Business personnel. We do not anticipate charging a fee for refresher training, but you will pay for all the expenses incurred by your trainees, including travel, lodging, meals, and wages.

We may also choose to hold an annual meeting of our franchisees to provide additional training, introduce new products or changes to the System, or for other reasons. We may designate that attendance at an annual meeting is mandatory for you, your general manager, and/or other Franchised Business personnel. We do not anticipate charging a fee to attend the meeting, but you will pay for all the expenses incurred by your attendees at the meeting, including travel, lodging, meals, and wages. We will designate the location of any franchisee meeting, such as a resort hotel, but we will not designate an unreasonably expensive site.

In addition to our initial training program, you, your managers, and any other personnel we designate must be ServSafe/TIPS (alcohol awareness), or similarly, certified. The cost of these certifications is not included in the initial franchise fee, and we do not provide certification. You may need to receive periodic additional training and/or certification.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Crave's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, attendance at refresher training courses and annual meetings may be mandatory for franchisees, their general managers, and/or other franchised business personnel. While Crave does not anticipate charging a fee for these refresher training courses or the annual meeting, the franchisee is responsible for covering all expenses incurred by their trainees. These expenses include travel, lodging, meals, and wages.

In addition to refresher courses and annual meetings, Crave requires that franchisees, their managers, and any other personnel they designate obtain ServSafe/TIPS (alcohol awareness) certification, or a similar certification. The cost of these certifications is not included in the initial franchise fee, and Crave does not provide the certification itself. Franchisees may also need to receive periodic additional training and/or certifications as deemed necessary by Crave.

Furthermore, any manager subsequently designated by the franchisee must also complete the initial training program to Crave's satisfaction. This may involve sending the manager to Crave's headquarters training program, at the franchisee's expense. Crave retains the right to charge a reasonable fee for the initial training provided to a replacement or successor employee if the franchisee has not been approved to provide the training themselves. The franchisee is responsible for all expenses incurred by trainees for any training program, including travel, lodging, meals, and applicable wages.
