What are the qualifications that a Crave General Manager must meet during their service?

You shall designate and retain at all times a general manager ("General Manager") to direct the operation and management of the Franchised Business. Your General Manager shall be a full-time employee, must have successfully completed our training program, and must have been certified by us. We reserve the right to require certain other of your managers to be certified by us. At all times while your Franchised Business is open and operating, at least one (1) certified manager shall be on-site at your Franchised Business. The General Manager shall be responsible for the daily operation of the Franchised Business and may be one of the Principals. The General Manager shall, during the entire period he/she serves as General Manager, meet the following qualifications:
- 6.3.1 The General Manager shall satisfy our educational and business experience criteria as set forth in the Manual as defined herein or otherwise in writing by us;
- 6.3.2 The General Manager shall devote full time and best efforts to the supervision and management of the Franchised Business;
- 6.3.3 The General Manager shall be an individual acceptable to us; and
- 6.3.4 The General Manager shall satisfy the training requirements set forth in Section 6.4. If, during the term of this Agreement, the General Manager is not able to continue to serve in such capacity or no longer qualifies to act as such in accordance with this Section, you shall promptly (not later than seven (7) days after the event) notify us and designate a replacement within thirty (30) days after the General Manager ceases to serve, such replacement being subject to the same qualifications listed above (including completing all training and obtaining all certifications required by us). You shall provide for interim management of the Franchised Business until such replacement is so designated, such interim management to be conducted in accordance with the terms of this Agreement. Any failure to materially comply with the requirements of this Section 6.3 shall be deemed a material event of default under Section 17.1.3(o) hereof.

If the General Manager can no longer serve or no longer qualifies, the franchisee must notify Crave within seven days and designate a replacement within thirty days. The replacement must meet the same qualifications, including completing all required training and certifications.
During the transition, the franchisee must provide interim management that adheres to the terms of the agreement. Failure to comply with these requirements is considered a material breach of the agreement, potentially leading to default. These stipulations ensure that Crave maintains consistent operational standards and qualified management across all franchise locations.
