- 12.2.2 Insurance must be underwritten by insurers licensed and permitted to write coverage in the state in which the Franchised Business is located. What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Crave's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must maintain umbrella or excess liability insurance with minimum limits of $2,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 general aggregate.
This insurance is in addition to other required policies, such as property, general liability, auto liability, and worker's compensation coverage. Crave may modify these minimum coverage requirements each year to reflect changes in inflation or market conditions.
Crave franchisees must ensure their insurance policies are underwritten by insurers licensed to write coverage in the state where the franchised business is located. Additionally, Crave Franchising, LLC must be named as an additional insured on a primary non-contributory basis on the general and auto liability policies. Franchisees must provide certificates of insurance to Crave at least 30 days before the expiration of any policy.
