What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Crave's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the training program for a General Manager varies depending on whether the franchise is a restaurant or a food truck. For a restaurant, the General Manager receives 5 days of classroom training and 7 days of on-the-job training. For a food truck, the General Manager receives 5 days of classroom training and 6 days of on-the-job training. The training takes place at a designated training facility or at an operating Crave business.
This initial training is mandatory and must be completed no later than 30 days before the restaurant or food truck is scheduled to open. If the General Manager does not satisfactorily complete the training, Crave requires the franchisee to designate a replacement who can successfully complete the program. Failure to comply with this requirement could lead to the termination of the Franchise Agreement.
Crave may also offer refresher training courses and annual meetings, which may be mandatory for the General Manager. While Crave does not anticipate charging a fee for these additional training opportunities, the franchisee is responsible for covering all expenses incurred by the General Manager, including travel, lodging, meals, and wages. The FDD also states that the training program is subject to change.
