What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Crave's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, at least two trainees must complete the initial training program to the company's satisfaction no later than 30 days before the franchise opens. One of these trainees must be either the franchisee or their General Manager. If the franchisee wants additional trainees to attend the initial training program, they must pay Crave's then-current per-person training fee for each additional trainee. The franchisee is also responsible for covering all expenses incurred by the trainees during the initial training program, including travel, lodging, meals, and applicable wages.

If the General Manager does not complete the initial training program satisfactorily, the franchisee must designate a replacement to complete the training at their expense, including paying the training fee. If the replacement General Manager also fails to complete the training to Crave's satisfaction, Crave has the right to terminate the Franchise Agreement. Any subsequently designated manager must also complete the initial training before the franchise can open.

Crave may approve the franchisee to train replacement managers under their training program, but only if the agreement is for the franchisee's third or later franchise business. The franchisee cannot train any personnel until Crave has approved them as a trainer. Crave also requires the franchisee, their General Manager, managers, and other designated employees to maintain industry certifications from approved food safety and handling and alcohol service training programs, at the franchisee's sole expense.
