Does Crave guarantee that there will be enough suitable locations within a Development Area for a franchisee to meet their Minimum Performance Schedule?

According to Crave's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Crave does not guarantee that there will be enough suitable sites for Restaurants or suitable municipalities for Food Trucks in the Development Area for a franchisee to meet their Minimum Performance Schedule. The FDD states that the designation of a particular Development Area is not an assurance or warranty of suitable locations.

The responsibility to locate and prepare enough suitable sites or municipalities lies solely with the franchisee. Crave has no obligation to approve sites or municipalities that do not meet their criteria, even if it impacts the franchisee's ability to meet the Minimum Performance Schedule.

This means that a prospective Crave franchisee needs to conduct thorough due diligence to assess the availability and suitability of locations within their Development Area before signing the Multi-Unit Development Agreement. This includes evaluating factors such as demographics, competition, traffic patterns, and local regulations to ensure that the area can support the number of Crave Restaurants or Food Trucks required by the Minimum Performance Schedule.
