What is the Crave franchisee's obligation regarding the submission of other information before an on-site evaluation?
Crave Franchise · 2025 FDDAnswer from 2025 FDD Document
Before you lease or purchase the site for the Restaurant, you must locate a site that satisfies our site selection guidelines. If we deem it necessary, we will conduct one on-site evaluation, but before we conduct the evaluation you must submit to us in the form we specify a description of the site, including evidence that the site satisfies our site selection guidelines, together with other information and materials that we may reasonably require, including a letter of intent or other evidence that confirms your favorable prospects for obtaining the site.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Crave's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, if Crave deems an on-site evaluation necessary for a potential restaurant location, the franchisee must first submit specific information. This includes a description of the site, evidence that the site meets Crave's site selection guidelines, and any other materials Crave reasonably requires. This may also include a letter of intent or similar documentation confirming the franchisee's prospects for securing the site.
This requirement ensures that Crave has sufficient information to assess the suitability of the proposed location before committing resources to an on-site evaluation. By requiring franchisees to gather and submit this information, Crave maintains control over site selection, which is crucial for brand consistency and success.
For a prospective Crave franchisee, this means a significant amount of due diligence is required before Crave will conduct an on-site evaluation. Franchisees should be prepared to thoroughly document the site's characteristics and demonstrate its alignment with Crave's guidelines. Failing to provide adequate information could delay the approval process or lead to the rejection of the proposed site. Franchisees should clarify with Crave exactly what documentation is needed to avoid any delays.
