What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Crave's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee operating a food truck has specific obligations for its upkeep. The franchisee is solely responsible for the expenses related to maintaining and repairing the food truck, ensuring it remains in good working order and condition. This includes regular servicing in accordance with any warranty and manufacturer's guidelines.
Furthermore, the franchisee must maintain the exterior of the food truck in a clean and presentable condition. This involves promptly repairing any scratches or dents and ensuring the food truck is professionally washed at least once per week.
In addition to these maintenance and appearance standards, the franchisee is required to file all necessary state registration and inspection reports for the food truck. This includes submitting the food truck for annual vehicle inspection as mandated by state law and providing these reports to Crave. The franchisee is also responsible for paying all registration and inspection fees associated with the food truck. Franchisees must also provide Crave with copies of all maintenance and repair records and invoices upon request.
