What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Crave's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Food Truck Addendum references a Franchise Agreement of "even date herewith," indicating that the Franchise Agreement and the Addendum are intended to be signed on the same day. However, the addendum itself does not specify a particular date for the Franchise Agreement.
Furthermore, the document states that the parties have signed and executed the addendum to the Crave Franchise Agreement as of the day and year first above written. This implies that there is a date associated with the addendum itself, which could potentially be the same date as the Franchise Agreement, but this is not explicitly stated. The addendum also refers to an "Effective Date" in the context of commencing operations, stating that the franchisee must commence operations no later than six months after this date.
In the South Dakota addendum, it is mentioned that the franchisee must execute the Franchise Agreement prior to looking for a site or beginning training. This suggests that the Franchise Agreement needs to be in place before certain activities can commence, but it does not specify a particular date. To clarify the exact date of the Franchise Agreement and its relationship to the Food Truck Addendum, a prospective franchisee should seek clarification from Crave during their due diligence process.
