Crave Franchise · 2025 FDDAnswer from 2025 FDD Document
We may choose to hold refresher training courses, and we may designate that attendance at refresher training is mandatory for you, your general manager, and/or other Franchised Business personnel. We do not anticipate charging a fee for refresher training, but you will pay for all the expenses incurred by your trainees, including travel, lodging, meals, and wages.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Crave's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, while Crave does not anticipate charging a fee for refresher training courses, franchisees are responsible for covering all expenses incurred by their trainees. This includes costs associated with travel, lodging, meals, and wages for the personnel attending the training.
This means that if Crave mandates refresher training for a franchisee's general manager or other staff, the franchisee must budget for these additional costs. These expenses can vary significantly depending on the location of the training, the duration of the training, and the number of personnel required to attend. Franchisees should factor in potential overtime wages if employees attend training outside of their regular work hours.
It is important for prospective Crave franchisees to consider these potential costs when evaluating the overall investment and operational expenses of the franchise. While the franchisor covers the cost of instructors and training materials for the initial training program, the franchisee bears the financial responsibility for ongoing training and development of their staff. This is a fairly standard practice in the franchise industry, as it ensures that franchisees are invested in maintaining the quality and consistency of their operations through well-trained personnel.
