What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Crave's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, if the General Manager is unable to continue in their role, the franchisee must notify Crave promptly, specifically no later than seven days after the event. Additionally, the franchisee is required to designate a replacement within thirty days after the General Manager's departure. This replacement must meet the same qualifications as the original General Manager, including completing all required training and obtaining necessary certifications.
The franchisee is also responsible for providing interim management of the Franchised Business until a suitable replacement is found. This interim management must adhere to the terms outlined in the Franchise Agreement. Failure to comply with these requirements regarding the General Manager is considered a material breach of the agreement, which could lead to default.
This requirement ensures that Crave maintains consistent operational standards and qualified management at each franchise location. The prompt notification and replacement timeline minimize disruption to the business and uphold the brand's reputation. Franchisees should be prepared to act quickly to find a qualified replacement and manage the business effectively during the transition period to avoid potential penalties or default.
