What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Crave's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, if a franchisee participates in a Cooperative for local marketing, they must submit their monthly contribution by the 15th of each month. This contribution covers the preceding calendar month's activities.
This requirement ensures that the Cooperative receives funds in a timely manner to execute its advertising and promotional programs. The Cooperative uses these contributions to develop standardized promotional materials for use in local advertising within the Cooperative's designated area. Crave retains the right to approve the Cooperative's rules and procedures, as well as any advertising or promotional plans and materials.
Crave also has the right to approve the form, manner, and start date of the Cooperative. If Crave or its affiliates own and operate businesses within the Cooperative's area, they may choose whether or not to participate in the Cooperative. Franchisees should be aware of these conditions and how they might affect their local marketing strategies and costs.
If there is an impasse among Cooperative members that affects the Cooperative's establishment or functioning, Crave has the authority to resolve the issue, and its decision is binding on all members. This ensures that any disputes are resolved efficiently and that the Cooperative can continue to operate effectively.
