What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Crave's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, for a multi-unit developer, Crave will review information regarding potential sites to determine whether they meet Crave's standards and criteria for a Crave Restaurant. If the site meets their criteria, Crave will approve the site for the restaurant. This process is detailed within Section 8.1 of the Multi-Unit Development Agreement.
This means that as a multi-unit franchisee, you'll need to submit potential locations to Crave for evaluation. Crave's approval hinges on whether the site aligns with their established standards. This is a crucial step, as you cannot proceed with a location that does not meet Crave's criteria.
Crave also provides standard specifications and layouts for building and furnishing the restaurants, and they will review the franchisee's site plan and final build-out plans to ensure they conform to Crave's standards. This ensures brand consistency and operational efficiency across all Crave locations developed under the Multi-Unit Development Agreement.
