What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Crave's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, for a multi-unit developer to secure approval for a municipality for a Crave Food Truck, the municipality must meet Crave's standards and criteria. Crave reviews information provided by the developer regarding potential sites or municipalities to determine if they meet the company's standards.

Crave's criteria for approving municipalities include factors such as the number and size of shopping centers, malls, business parks, business districts, parks, and open public spaces. The availability of parking or standing on main roads, the presence of other food truck businesses in the immediate area, and the population base and median income of the population are also considered.

Crave uses these factors, among others, to determine the suitability of a proposed municipality for a Crave Food Truck. If Crave does not provide specific approval of a proposed municipality, it is deemed not approved. A prospective franchisee should carefully consider these criteria and gather comprehensive data on potential locations to increase the likelihood of approval.
