What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Crave's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are required to purchase and maintain specific computer software and hardware to connect to and utilize the Crave Intranet. Crave may establish an Intranet to facilitate private and secure communications between Crave and its franchisees, licensees, and other entities. The Intranet may contain the Manual, training materials, and management reporting solutions.
Crave retains the right to specify the brands, types, makes, and models of computer systems and hardware used by Crave businesses. This includes back office and point-of-sale systems, data storage, security systems, printers, backup systems, and internet access. Crave also has the right to develop or designate required computer software programs and accounting system software that franchisees must install, including updates and modifications.
Franchisees must also maintain telecommunications connections between their computer systems and the Crave Intranet, complying with requirements set forth in the Manual or in writing. Failure to maintain the required equipment, lines, and communication methods in operation and accessible to Crave constitutes a material default under the Franchise Agreement. Prospective franchisees should carefully review the Manual and any written directives from Crave to understand the specific software and hardware requirements, as well as the costs associated with purchasing and maintaining these systems.
