What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Crave's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, as a franchisee, you must provide Crave with assignments, affidavits, documents, information, and assistance that Crave reasonably requests. This support is required to fully vest all rights, title, and interest in the Marks to Crave. This includes providing items reasonably requested by Crave to register, maintain, and enforce rights in the Marks.
This means that Crave franchisees have a legal obligation to actively help Crave protect its trademarks. This could involve providing documentation about how the franchisee is using the trademarks, assisting in legal filings, or providing information about potential infringements.
This requirement is fairly standard in franchising, as the franchisor needs to maintain control and protect its brand identity. Failing to provide the requested assistance could be a breach of the franchise agreement and could potentially lead to legal issues or termination of the franchise agreement.
