What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Crave's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees, their managers, and other designated personnel must obtain ServSafe/TIPS (alcohol awareness) certification, or a similar certification. The cost for these certifications is not included in the initial franchise fee, and Crave does not provide the certification itself. The FDD states that franchisees may need to receive periodic additional training and/or certification.

Crave may also choose to hold refresher training courses, and may require franchisees, their general managers, and/or other personnel to attend. Crave does not anticipate charging a fee for refresher training, but the franchisee will be responsible for all expenses incurred by their trainees, including travel, lodging, meals, and wages.

Additionally, Crave may choose to hold an annual meeting of franchisees to provide additional training, introduce new products or changes to the system, or for other reasons. Attendance at the annual meeting may be mandatory for franchisees, their general managers, and/or other Franchised Business personnel. Crave does not anticipate charging a fee to attend the meeting, but the franchisee will pay for all expenses incurred by their attendees, including travel, lodging, meals, and wages.
