What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Craters & Freighters's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Craters & Freighters owns, is the licensee of, uses, promotes, and sublicenses certain trade names, trademarks, service marks, and other commercial symbols. This includes the trade and service mark, "Craters & Freighters®" and associated logos. Craters & Freighters may also create, use, and license additional trademarks, service marks, and commercial symbols in conjunction with the operation of Craters & Freighters Franchised Businesses in the future.
This means that as a franchisee, you are granted the right to use these trademarks and service marks to operate your Craters & Freighters franchise. However, this right is subject to the terms and conditions outlined in the Craters & Freighters Franchise Company Franchise Agreement, which is included as part of the Franchise Disclosure Document. It is important to review this agreement carefully to understand the scope and limitations of your rights to use these trademarks.
Owning or licensing these trademarks allows Craters & Freighters to maintain brand consistency and protect its brand identity across all franchise locations. This is a common practice in franchising, as it helps to ensure that customers recognize and associate the same quality and service with all Craters & Freighters businesses. As a franchisee, you benefit from this established brand recognition, but you also have a responsibility to adhere to the franchisor's standards for using the trademarks to maintain the brand's integrity.
