What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Craters & Freighters Franchise Disclosure Document, Craters & Freighters Franchised Businesses utilize the shipping services of private carriers. This means that franchisees do not operate their own shipping fleets but instead contract with established private shipping companies to transport the items they crate, package, and ship for their customers.
For a prospective franchisee, this arrangement can reduce the initial investment and ongoing operational complexities. Instead of purchasing and maintaining vehicles, hiring drivers, and managing logistics in-house, Craters & Freighters franchisees can focus on the core aspects of the business, such as customer service, packaging, crating, and sales.
However, franchisees are reliant on the service quality and pricing of these private carriers. Any disruptions, delays, or cost increases from the carriers could directly impact the franchisee's business and customer satisfaction. It would be prudent for a potential franchisee to investigate which private carriers Craters & Freighters franchisees typically use in their region and to understand the terms and conditions of those carrier agreements.
