What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Craters & Freighters FDD, the Operations Manuals are the primary instructional material used during the Initial Training Program. This is supplemented with on-site training potentially held at one or more Craters & Freighters franchise locations in Colorado.
The Operations Manuals contain mandatory and suggested specifications, standards, and operating procedures that Craters & Freighters prescribes, along with information about the franchisee's obligations. These manuals can be modified to reflect changes in the Craters & Freighters system, but these changes will not alter the franchisee's fundamental rights and status under the Franchise Agreement. Franchisees must comply with any changes to the system, with expenditures for such compliance capped at $10,000 during the term of the Franchise Agreement.
Prospective franchisees should note that they must keep their copy of the Operations Manuals current, and the master copy maintained by Craters & Freighters will be controlling in case of a dispute. Franchisees are prohibited from copying any part of the Operations Manuals, and lost, destroyed, or damaged copies must be replaced at the franchisee's expense, based on Craters & Freighters' then-applicable charge. The Operations Manuals consist of 119 pages, and the table of contents is included as an exhibit in the Franchise Disclosure Document.
