What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Craters & Freighters Franchise Disclosure Document, Craters & Freighters grants franchisees the right to use their proprietary operating software. This software is designed to assist with various business functions, including customer relationship management, quoting, job flow, custom container design, calendaring, reporting, and transportation management. The software serves as the central platform for processing customer jobs consistently, efficiently, and accurately.
Craters & Freighters also requires that all royalty reports from the franchised business be managed exclusively through this proprietary software. This is intended to streamline operations and ensure compliance with Craters & Freighters' standards.
While Craters & Freighters provides access to this software, franchisees are responsible for protecting themselves from viruses, computer hackers, and other computer-related problems. Franchisees cannot hold Craters & Freighters liable for any harm caused by these issues. This allocation of responsibility is typical in franchising, where the franchisor provides the system, but the franchisee manages their own IT security.
