What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Craters & Freighters Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisee is solely responsible for purchasing and installing all required fixtures, equipment, and signs for their Craters & Freighters franchise premises. This responsibility falls under the broader scope of developing and furnishing the premises, which also includes securing financing, obtaining permits and licenses, complying with applicable laws and leases, constructing improvements, and decorating the premises according to approved plans and specifications.

This means a prospective Craters & Freighters franchisee must factor in these costs when planning their initial investment. They have the autonomy to manage these aspects of the business setup but must adhere to Craters & Freighters' standards for quality, design, appearance, function, and performance. This ensures brand consistency across all franchise locations.

The franchisee is also responsible for purchasing an opening inventory of materials and supplies, including equipment. Furthermore, franchisees must ensure that all signs, emblems, lettering, logos, and display materials used at the premises, both interior and exterior, are approved by Craters & Freighters. This requirement emphasizes the importance of adhering to the franchisor's brand guidelines and obtaining necessary approvals to maintain uniformity within the Craters & Freighters system.
