Who may be required to attend periodic courses for a Craters & Freighters franchise?

We may require you and/or your Designated Manager (if applicable) and/or your Lead Salesperson (as such term is defined below) to attend periodic courses with respect to new methods, techniques, equipment, services, and procedures at such time and locations that we designate. You will be responsible for all travel and living expenses incurred in connection with any such courses.
The Initial Training Program will be conducted by the following members of our team:
- Executive Vice President of Transportation, Logistics, & Franchise Support, Mark Giraldi, who has more than 30 years of experience in the industry involving freight forwarding, transportation, and logistics. Mr. Giraldi joined us in 2014 with an extensive background in executive management.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Craters & Freighters' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees, their designated managers (if applicable), and/or their lead salesperson may be required to attend periodic courses. These courses cover new methods, techniques, equipment, services, and procedures. The timing and locations of these courses are determined by Craters & Freighters.
This requirement means that as a Craters & Freighters franchisee, you, your manager, and your lead salesperson may need to participate in ongoing training throughout the term of your franchise agreement. This ensures that your business stays current with the latest industry practices and standards set by Craters & Freighters. It is common in franchising to require ongoing training to maintain consistency and quality across all franchise locations.
The franchisee is responsible for all travel and living expenses incurred in connection with these periodic courses. This could represent a significant ongoing cost, so prospective franchisees should factor this into their financial projections. It is important to budget for these expenses and understand the frequency and location of these courses to estimate the potential financial impact.
Additionally, the franchisee's manager(s) will attend periodic courses or training meetings with respect to new methods, techniques, equipment, services, and procedures, at such times and locations that Craters & Freighters designates. The franchisee's owner(s) or designees of such owner(s) must attend Craters & Freighters' annual franchisee convention, and the franchisee's owners must attend regional meetings conducted by Craters & Freighters.
