Will Craters & Freighters provide promotional support for the opening of a franchised business?

According to the 2025 Craters & Freighters Franchise Disclosure Document, Craters & Freighters will provide promotional support for the opening of your franchised business. In addition to promotional support, Craters & Freighters will designate your territory, assist you with locating a suitable site for your franchised business, and provide you with mandatory or suggested specifications for the premises. Craters & Freighters will also review your construction plans and specifications for your franchised business and provide you with initial training. They will also provide you with access to the Operations Manuals, grant you the right to use their proprietary operating software, establish one or more email addresses for you to use exclusively in connection with your franchised business, and establish and maintain a stand-alone website for you. After the initial training, upon your request, Craters & Freighters will spend three business days with you at your franchised business within 90 days of the franchised business's initial opening.

However, franchisees are solely responsible for securing all required financing, obtaining all required permits and licenses, complying with all applicable laws and the Lease, constructing all required improvements and decorating the Premises in compliance with the approved construction plans and Craters & Freighters' then-current specifications relating to approved brands, types, or models, purchasing and installing all required fixtures, equipment, and signs required for the Premises, placing or displaying at the Premises (interior and exterior) only such signs, emblems, lettering, logos, and display materials that Craters & Freighters approves from time to time, and purchasing an opening inventory of materials and supplies, including the equipment.

Craters & Freighters also details the use of a marketing fund, which is funded by franchisee contributions. The marketing fund will be used exclusively for the purpose of promoting the Craters & Freighters system. These funds may be used towards advertising in various media, developing promotional materials, and undertaking public relations activities. Craters & Freighters also allows franchisees to develop their own advertising media for their own use, at their own cost providing all media is in compliance with current branding and System Standards. Craters & Freighters must approve the advertising materials in advance and in writing.
