What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Craters & Freighters Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisee is responsible for furnishing the premises, including equipment. Craters & Freighters will provide mandatory or suggested specifications for the premises, including those related to equipment. These specifications are based on Craters & Freighters' standards for quality, design, appearance, function, and performance.

Before construction of the premises begins, the franchisee must provide Craters & Freighters with the construction plans and receive written approval. Additionally, the franchisee must submit all revised or "as-built" plans to Craters & Freighters upon request.

This means a prospective Craters & Freighters franchisee needs to be prepared to invest in equipment that meets the franchisor's standards and specifications. They must also factor in the time and potential costs associated with getting construction plans approved by Craters & Freighters before setting up their business location.
