During the first 90 days of operation, can Craters & Freighters franchisees request an on-site visit?

Craters_Freighters Franchise · 2025 FDD

Answer from 2025 FDD Document

At any point during the first year of Franchisee's operation of the Franchised Business, upon request by Franchisee, Franchisor will conduct one (1) additional on-site visit for three (3) business days at no charge to Franchisee.

Thereafter, Franchisor will provide Franchisee with on-site visits upon reasonable request by Franchisee or in the event Franchisor solely determines that an on-site visit is necessary.

In either scenario, Franchisee must pay all of Franchisor's travel and living expenses for such on-site visit(s) plus Franchisor's thencurrent daily per-diem fee as set forth in the Operations Manuals.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Craters & Freighters' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, during the first year of operation, a franchisee can request one on-site visit from the franchisor, which will last for three business days, without incurring any charges for the visit itself. This visit is intended to provide additional support and guidance during the initial phase of the franchise's operation.

However, it's important to note that while the on-site visit itself is free for the first visit within the first year, the franchisee is responsible for covering all of the franchisor's travel and living expenses associated with the visit. After the first year, franchisees must pay all of Franchisor's travel and living expenses for on-site visits plus Franchisor's then-current daily per-diem fee as set forth in the Operations Manuals.

This policy ensures that Craters & Freighters franchisees have access to additional support when they need it most, while also managing the franchisor's costs associated with providing that support. Franchisees should factor in these potential travel and living expenses when budgeting for their first year of operation, as the cost can vary depending on the location of the franchise and the duration of the visit.
