What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Craters & Freighters' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, veterans of the United States armed forces can receive a discount on the initial franchise fee through the VetFran program. To qualify for this $5,000 discount, a veteran must show evidence of an honorable discharge.

The initial franchise fee itself varies depending on the territory population. For a territory with a population under 1,000,000 people, the initial fee is $35,000. For a territory with a population of 1,000,000 or more, the initial fee is $45,000. If a prospective franchisee requests a territory with a population exceeding 1,000,000, they may also be required to pay a supplemental territory fee of $0.015 per additional person.

It is important to note that the initial franchise fee and any supplemental territory fees are due in a lump sum when the Franchise Agreement is signed. These fees are non-refundable for any reason once paid. In 2024, Craters & Freighters collected an initial franchise fee of $88,255 in connection with the sale of one franchised business.
